What can I do with a wooden thread spool?

Just knew I had been keeping the old wooden thread spools for a good reason....now I find out they are called Vintage Spools. Using this wonderful sample above from Maize in Montana she makes us old pack rats vintage and romantic giving us a perfect use for these thread spools! Thank-you! I can't wait to see if I can make some half as cute as hers. This will be a cute little addition to the decorated cans in the last post, all for my sweet family for Valentine's Day!!!

Megan and I had lots of fun for Valentines day using old wooden thread spools and making Valentine fortune love notes. By untying the bow the fortune would unroll and there was a personalized love message for the intended person.
