Homemade Drain Cleaner

1 cup baking soda
1 cup white vinegar
Directions
Pour soda and then the vinegar into the drain. Flush with hot water. I do this every few months to keep my drains smelling fresh. My kitchen sinks may need this more frequently, but I daily run a couple squirts of liquid dish detergent down the drains followed with hot water to clear out any grease buildup that may be there.

The showers and bathroom sinks need a bit more help with a hair removal tool. It sort of looks like a long flexible stick with very short teeth on one end. With long hair on the gals in this family the shower drain gets de-haired monthly followed up with the soda and vinegar rinse. I love to use natural ingredients with kitchen friendly scents (scent free ideally!)
